Have a look at [login to view URL] This is an aviation weather forecast with the met info written in ICAO compliant language. I want to modify this so that the info in the green boxes is written in plain English. It will be done with a Python script written in two parts. The first part - I will call "get" - will find the green rectangles, record the coordinates and (OCR) extract the text in each box. The text is well defined and will extract with any standard OCR process. Then the text it will be fed to a function I provide that will return a plain English translation. The script will then "put" - insert this translation into a new box and replace it in the image more or less where the original box came from - overwriting the old one.
