Technical communicator- COMPLIANCE IN HAZARDOUS AREAS AND EXPLOSIVE ENVIRONMENTS

At Zero Industries we help organisations with explosive atmospheres who deal with quantities of explosive gases, liquids or combustible dust to become legally compliant with the Australian/ New Zealand Standards that set out the requirements for the design, selection and installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas. SAFE: A safe and reliable Hazardous Area operation SPECIALISED: Expert technical knowledge and onsite experience SIMPLE: End-to-end solutions that are worry-free, affordable and responsible We want a freelance Technical Communicator for the following: Key responsibilities: 1- Technical writing (White papers) 2- Technical webinar moderation You are not be expected to conduct the online training but rather to support the trainer by moderating the webinar and organising Q&A session Key tasks: 1- Simplifying the complex 2- Conducting research 3- Discussing with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of information 4- Writing of user manuals, reference guides and similar papers 5- Managing webinars from preparation stage to the follow up stage a. Preparing attendee lists b. Sending invitations c. Handling technicalities of webinar set-up d. Moderating the webinar e. Identifying & conveying important questions to the presenter f. Supporting the presenter by having possible answers prepared g. Answering attendee inquiries h. Follow up with attendees after the webinar You must be/ have:  Excellent communicator  Very good listening and speaking English skills  Excellent English writing skills  Meticulous proofreading  Online technology savvy  Excellent organization skills  Demonstrates an understanding of the business (electrical safety)  Have a strong and stable internet connection  Experience with Office 365 Enterprise products and MS Teams Preference will be given to:  Technical background in a similar field  Hands-on experience in safety in hazardous environments has a higher chance of being hired If shortlisted you'll be given a task to write a short article about compliance in hazardous areas followed by an audio-visual interview and selection of freelancer will be made accordingly
