(Description)
An exciting and fun story of love between a university student a bit 'clumsy and a sarcastic and enigmatic professor who will keep you glued to the pages. The story, narrated in the first person and at the present time by the protagonist, allows the reader not only to identify with the narrator, sharing passions and feelings, but also to laugh with her (and sometimes her) of bizarre and rather improbable situations. Suffice it to say that the book opens on board an airplane during a heavy storm. Passengers panic, including the charming writer sitting next to the protagonist, but she feels instead invade, for the first time in her life, from an irresistible wave of attraction for the man who sits down next. Between the two shoot the spark, thanks to the fear of death, and abandon themselves to the passion. Only when the storm calms down and a stern hostess scolds them, backed by three elderly scandalized ladies, the two realize they have lost control. The man is unspeakably angry with the protagonist for having dragged him into that crazy fool and no longer speaks to her ... However, he will soon find himself forced to collaborate with her, more or less professionally. From this moment on, the novel becomes a succession of comic and funny situations, improbable and at the same time capable of revealing the character of the protagonist and his charming colleague.
The novel takes place in beautiful Edinburgh, between universities, national library, apartments and a nice fictional pub where the protagonist plays with her band. Exactly, Isabel is an exceptional singer and guitarist, who does not fail to attract a large crowd of admirers ...
Book recommended for those who love love, but also laugh. To be enjoyed in one breath, perhaps to relax after a tiring or depressing day. Short and flowing reading.
And who knows if after reading it you will not look around with different eyes the next time you get on the plane!
