The project includes five 5-minute videos about the Contra Costa College Math Jam Program aimed at recruiting faculty and students to join future Math Jam programs. The video will show the program both from the perspective of participating faculty and students. It will feature faculty members’ positive experiences and their contributions to the program. The video will emphasize the opportunities the program offers to participating faculty. Among them, building relationships with students, offering professional development opportunities, working as a part of a team, trying out new and creative ways of teaching, working with students in a holistic manner. The video will also show the program from the perspective of participating students and will show their experience as they learn and progress in the program. It will capture their positive impressions and the sense of achievement at the completion of the program. The video will emphasize many benefits of the program, among them: opportunity to build relationships with faculty, managing anxiety associated with learning math, enjoying a fun learning environment, fostering growth mindset, participating in the book loan program, providing access to resources.
