Automate PC Image Boot Scripts to Deploy Software

We’re in need of building ‘post imaging’ scripting for new machine deployment at our organization. The objective here is to take a vanilla Windows ISO, or Chrome ISO (we need both, but start with Windows please), it should spool up immediately after vanilla image deployment, get requirements from HTTP GET JSON configuration file, execute through a list of activities, and then wipe any trace of user information so it appears “first boot”. Here is the sequence: PRETEXT: Image is Installed. 1. Image contains a basic config (HP based image without drivers) 2. Startup Script begins a. System runs "[login to view URL]" (or through other method) and gets: i. "System Model" ii. "Serial Number" b. System uses https get to pull "{the serial number}.json” from a provided endpoint that includes software selected by the purchaser. c. System uses https get to pull “{the model number}.json" from a provided endpoint that includes a list of drivers and firmware for the model determined by the systeminfo command d. RUN POST to API given to tell external system that process has begun to add new software. e. System runs cmd script and loops for all "{the serial number}.json" software i. System removes all bloatware from default system config 1. Games 2. Video Services 3. Music Services ii. Install all software with "no reboot" and image cleanup required 1. Script pulls software from SDP (Software Distribution Point) 2. System pushes each software install "success/failure" to an API 3. System pushes each cleanup step "success/failure" to an API iii. System installs all Bookmarks and html help files from JSON iv. Install all drivers for the system based on "{the system model}.json with /no reboot 1. Drivers install one by one 2. Possible "wait" based on type of driver 3. System pushes each driver install "success/failure" via API f. System runs Sysprep (or other similar operation to do the following) i. Renews Out Of Box Experience /OOBE ii. Pushes Completion timestamp and details to API i. System has a custom unattended that rids drivers for Monitor/Mouse/Keyboard/Docking Station Used for setup. 1. NIC will always appear as NIC0 2. No hidden objects in the Device Manager 3. Machine is shutdown This process needs to happen seamlessly and without user intervention. To test this process, we need two different software packages also installed via the {serial number}.json process: Office365 iTunes If this goes well, we’ll look to hire you to deploy similar software. As a secondary, we need to do the exact same process for Chrome OS. Please focus first on completing the process with Windows…then we’ll look at Chrome as a follow up. Thanks in advance! JE
