George worked with me in selecting components, designing the schematics and gerbers, and writing the firmware for the circuit board of a class-compliant USB human interface device. He seemed to easily carry out the tasks according to the specifications I provided. Our time working together has extended beyond the original scope, due to additional requests on my part. He "comes to the table" every time with friendly demeanor and willingness to dive into whatever I presented to him. The reason I chose a 3 for both of these instead of a 4 is because the project required minor revision work that could have been avoided by someone with slightly more experience. I chose to work with George because, in the brief and cheerful words he offered in his bid to work on this project, it seemed that he was not "just trying to get the job", but that he was actually interested in the project. I had a hunch that this is the quality I would need for the job to get done, and I was right. Moreover, and crucially, he is native English speaker; a rarity in the freelance market of software and electronics development. I, too, am a native English speaker, and the ability to work with him without a communicative barrier played major role in our success.
