Memorial Design for Freedom Movement March, (Salt Satygraha)
This project is part of live project undertaken by the Central Government to built a memorial commemorating the Salt Satyagraha at Dandi. The Design and Solar Energy consultancy being given to IIT, the project was done to understand and visually communicate the narration of the Satyagraha Movement. The entire narration was made into a storyboard and a detailed document was prepared to facilitate artists to interpret in sculptors. Learning how to understand content and group and sort, and then visualize was an important part. Again the design was based on ancient hierarchical grid system of stone sculpting. Thus an understanding and then visualizing the storyboards in that system was the second part of work.
About Me
I am an explorer and a learner. My exploration in various sections of design like architecture, visual communication and interaction design has opened me up, to look at the world around from different angle. It also helps me participate in projects of all kinds. I thoroughly believe that designing is about process which works in the same order in all mediums. One needs to understand the need and find its best suited solution. After studying architecture for Bachelors and working for a year, I decided to explore communication design with my masters. Here I experimented with projects of various kinds like publication, exhibition, heritage communication, children education and others.
