Two 5dof hobbyist robot arms are used in this project. Servos used are digital servos with feedback wire. User's hands position is sent to Arduino Mega for computation. The positions of hands are translated to robot joint angles using inverse kinematic function. Two webcams are placed aboce the robot to provide stereoscopic vision back to VR headset

A high resolution camera with minimal distortion is used in this project. Camera calibration is performed using OpenCV to obtain extrinsic and intrinsic parameters. The objective is to detect impurities with size up to 20micrometer (detectable in pixel) and guide the suction pin to coordinates of impurities.

It was a pleasure to work with Weng! We had a challenging project but Weng stuck with it and was super helpful in many areas. In this paper, human mimicry as a teleoperation method is presented using a semi-humanoid robot, with Microsoft Kinect sensor as its interface. Vector calculations are used to obtain joint angles of human body to be imitated by the humanoid robot, focusing on upper body imitation. Then, a task learning methodology is proposed for the humanoid robot to carry out a task independently by using curve-fitting method.

In this work, the proposed bihistogram Bezier curve contrast enhancement introduces the concept of “adequate contrast enhancement” to overcome sudden jump problem in knee magnetic resonance image. The proposed method improves tissue contrast and preserves pertinent knee features without compromising natural image appearance.
