PCB Layout Designer

I am a hardware developer and layout design engineer with 6+ years experience working with high-bandwidth interface standards (CSI, GMSL, FPD-Link, OpenLDI), SerDes pair with both LVDS and single ended data transmission standards, LED drivers, power supplies circuits (buck, boost, LDO). I also have some experience in IoT products development with modules as BLE, CAN, GNSS, Ethernet PHY, LTE Cat M1/NB1, WWAN. I finished my Bachelor degree in Applied Electronics (2013-2017) and Masters degree in Computer and Communication Networks (2017-2019), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at "Ștefan cel Mare" University of Suceava, Romania. The below PCB projects are just simple designs done during my Bachelor's for TIE which is a design of electronics modules and assemblies contest for students where I won 1st place.

Design of two custom programming boards for ESP12 & ESP32 Wifi modules.

ESP modules

The project goal is to design and generate layout and fabrication files for an ECG wireless system.

The ECG wireless system consist of a Bluetooth device, made with CC2640 that will transmit to a Smartphone information’s received from the ECG circuit (ADS1293). Both modules are powered up from a 3V Li-Ion Battery and two Boost Converters (TPS61221 and TPS61222) that will give 3V3 and 5V respectively for both circuits used in the design.

In this project I only contributed with the layout.

This project is a solar battery charger (from the TIE 2016 contest) and it consists of:
-a single chip boost converter with dynamic Maximum Power Point Tracking (SPV1020)
-an output voltage and current controller (SEA05LTR)
-a comparator circuit to detect a low-battery condition (around TL331KDBVR)
-a smart high side driver with built in overcurrent protection function (AUIR3313S)

Pcb Design 10

My duty here was to design and generate layout and fabrication files for a wireless communication module designer by my supervisor professor (Adrian Petrariu).

The wireless communication module consists of a Bluetooth device that will transmit to a Smartphone the identification ID received from an NFC device. Both modules are powered up from a 3.7V battery pack that will recharge once a week via USB. The entire module is made to be portable, being used especially for golf.

The golf club has attached an RFID tag that will be read via the NFC module. The information’s will be sent to a Smartphone via Bluetooth from where the user can see on a map the exact hit position performed. With all of this recorded positions, on the Smartphone will be generated a map that will provide information’s regarding the game play of the golf player.

This is a 5W wireless charger and it consists of:
-a single chip wireless power transmitter
-a full bridge inverter
-an EEPROM
-an energy transfer coil
-ESD protection circuit

This project goal is to design and generate layout and fabrication files for a digital satellite tuner (DVB-S2). It was designed by my mentor teacher at university. I only did the layout. The first image includes the ground planes.
