Upon leaving high school in Dec 1974, joined KPMG in Zimbabwe as an articled clerk. Spent 10 years with the firm, leaving with the position of audit manager to enter into a commercial position as the financial manager with a small company involved in the supply & maintenance of medical and IT equipment. During a career of 8 years with this company served in the positions of Finance Director (CFO) and Managing Director (CEO). At the end of this period in 1992 , myself and the company Technical Director completed a management buy out of the IT equipment division of the company, which we re-branded and ran as a Distributor/Channel Partner of Sun Microsytems /Oracle for a period of 20 years. My responsibilities during this period involved the management of all financial, legal and administrative aspects of the company. I embarked on early retirement in 2012 at the aged of 58 and emigrated from Zimbabwe to Cape Town in South Africa to be with family.
