•Developing the conceptual design of new products, creating detail drawing for casting and sheet metal parts and participating in various design verification process with a team. •Check the design against known failure modes (failure mode directory, DFMEA) along with part design engineer. •Familiarity with ASME (B16.34, 16.5), ASTM (Material specification for FEA analysis), DIN, API (6A, 609), and Machinery Handbook for calculation purpose. •Incorporate the dimensioning and tolerances in line with GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5 1994). •Carryout 1D/2D tolerance stack up analysis for designed product based on worst case boundary condition. •Design of Jigs and Fixture to casting product for machining process. •Design of Assembly Fixture for HPBV product line with IMSD, Chennai. •Design of welding fixture for Choke valve to suit for vendor requirement in Breda (Netherland). •Calculation of Machining time, Fixture cost and machining cost for casting product using Costimator tool. •Follow of development of fixture with Vendor basically based in Chennai and Coimbatore. •Utilize the PLM system for documentation control and workflow (Team centre). •Being a Certified Value engineer from SAVE international, trying to reduce the product cost by applying VA/VE analysis (How-Why analysis) for casting product at IDC centre, Bangalore.
