  i looked at your work and what you did with Jubes Interactive caught my eye. so maybe that block style with the COBS letters together and words integrated underneath would be worth a shot

  I kinda like it but not sure it quite feels like a sports event logo - i know it follows one of the suggested inspirations but the COBS seems like it is CO and then BS - the logo is probably going to need to have Championships of Bags integrated with it
