Scott's WIP V3
I only have the layers to add. The shapes can be edited by adding or taking away points and they can be deleted. It works a little like the sample you gave me, but with the additional custom features. The user presses the enter key to be done with creating a shape, but I can take that out and use a mouse control instead if you need mouse-only interactions.

That's it, you have it well.
For interactions with the mouse, if it's possible,
- Simple-click to start a shape (poly or line)
- Double-click to close a shape and start a new one
- Double-click to stop a line and start a new one
- Add a point: click on a line (of polygon or line)
- Delete a point: click on the point without moving it
The summary at the bottom of the panel is great.
Oh yeah, we must think that the areas and heights are specific to each layer.
