I have done a lot of work similar to this in the past. I have implemented an USB modem dongle cp210x driver for the Verifone VX675/680 POS model (also with a minimal linux distribution) and also you can check my past a Më shumë
Have worked with linux kernel on a few android devices, so compiling a module for that router shouldn't be too hard! Would need kernel version number before starting to work on it.
If firmware in router can display "cat /proc/cpuinfo", i suppose that router is running Linux, for example openwrt. To implement simple driver i need these informations: 1. version of Linux kernel 2. version of tool Më shumë
