Controlling Hardware from Remote Web App (.net project) -- 2

What I need is a web page which will communicate with some hardware, mainly for managing a remote projector which is playing some video files on location.

The hardware are:

- PC & Router.

- Projection machine.

- Web cam.

- Custom Control Board (manages power to the Projector and has some sensors (for temperature, ambient light level, etc...).

Commands/Control we need to make.

- Projection Power on/off.

- Command Projector (zoom, focus, tilt, volume up/down, etc..)

- Command Web Cam (zoom, focus, etc...)

- Get readings from the custom board (through sockets).

- Send Power on/off commands to the custom board.

- Set projector power on/off on a schedule (based on ambient light level or time table.)

From this web page, we also need to command VLC media player which is installed on the PC. We need to be able to do the below:

- Upload file.

- Create/Manage a Playlist.

- Adjust a few VLC player setting (repeat playlist, slide duration, etc...).

We have already a component for getting video streams from the PC. So we can see what is playing in the VLC player. Also we can get video from the webcam as well.

There is also some custom software which manages the video stream coming from the PC and web cam. This software makes it possible to stream if the PC is behind a strict firewall. Also can tell the web page if the PC is online or not.

There are also some other miscellaneous features (logging, periodic queries, etc..) which I can explain you more later...

I also want to mention the budget and timeframe for the project so that we can be on the same page about those.

- Budget for the project is capped at $2000.

- Max project duration is 7 weeks (for fully tested and fully delivered project).

I imagine this is a project with:

- 1 week of preparation.

- 3-4 week active development.

- 1-2 week of testing, fixing and revisions.
