Create Prestashop plugin/script able to update product/combination from Suppliers Files (FTP)

We are going to launch a Prestashop e-commerce in the next week and we need to update the stock availability daily using our suppliers files (CSV, Excel) on their FTPs.
At this time we have 2 suppliers and we need to use their 2 file in order to update our availability (dropship). This files contain just 2 useful columns with UPC code and stock availability in one case, and EAN code + stock availability in the second case. The most important thing to know is that the code and availability list include products and/or combinations.
We think that a script it will work fine for this purpose but a plugin it could be better because should help us to manage new supplier easily.
Attached you will find the two files, a plugin that could be an interesting example of what we need (but is not complete and don't do exactly what we need), and a script that cover almost our needs.
