You are now tasked to create a website that will allow registered users to log in and fill in an online form with their details and automatically generate a web-based resume. The web-based resume should allow the user to select the option of two (2) different themes to be displayed.
Additionally, the website should have the option for the user to pay for the professional services of resume proofreader. The website must also feature a forum where the users can post announcements and advertisements on job vacancies, information on resume writing, or even general discussion threads.
This project expects the website to have these necessary features:
1. Register as a new user . You are free to add any number of fields into the registration form(first name, last name, email, NRIC No, gender, date of birth, password, confirm password, etc)
i. Once registered, the participant is auto-assigned a unique id, please write a JavaScript function (can be placed inline or external, up to you) to generate the unique id .
ii. The id consists of:
a. the first letter of each part of the user’s first name,
b. the last name (the whole string)
c. and, the last 4-digit of his or her NRIC
d. So for example, Siti Nurhaliza binti Tarudin, step (a) produces “sn”, step (b) produces “tarudin”, and step (c) produces 5124, so the resulting id is “sntarudin5124”.
2. Login as a registered user, and edit personal details for the resume form .
i Create an admin account that can at least delete the existing user accounts, manage (i.e., edit) the other website contents (i.e., forum, etc. - see below)
3. Besides that, the website must also have the following features:
a. An online store that sells additional resume templates, books on resume writing, etc. Must support *dummy transactions .
b. A section that offers paid professional proofreader services for resumes. The user just uploads the resume into the system, make the payment and then the resume will be emailed to a proofreader.
c. A forum as stated above .
*dummy transaction = have shopping basket, checkout button, enter shipping address etc., payment via credit card/paypal and confirmation message. Payment is not for real, but please store each purchase record.
Other info:
1. Chrome browser will be used to access the website later (so make sure it is compatible).
2. Number of tables is entirely up to you. Use PHP and MySQL/MySQLi to manage them
3. remember you HAVE TO use JavaScript to generate id, and PHP and MySQL/MySQLi to manage tables.
