Developing USB-Scrambling/Encryption for the STB via API for Stalker MW with MAG 250/254 STB

The German Channels dictate the following:

If the IPTV Provider supports recording of an external storage (via USB-Port from

STB), the recorded stream has to be secured.

The playback of the recorded data (stream) should only be supported via the STB

(MAG), and not through other devices like PC etc.

So the first task is to solve the issue above. The MW has got the feature, which calls

PVR Personal Video Recorder so subscribers can record the TV-content during

watching TV or over the EPG.

The Recording-Feature uses the API of the STB. The recording part has to be

changed, that the recorded content on the USB-Stick is not playable over a another

device/PC.

The recorded content has to exclusively function over the STB. How it will be done is

not important (Encryption, Scrambling or other Methods).

The Code must be Open.
