Grab image file in php to be uploaded to another storage provider

I already have a working script to upload files to a storage provider, but that code worked when the upload was made via frontend, so I could get the "tmp_name" variable of the image.
Now I already have the files on my server so I need to be able to "grab" the image to be uploaded via my script to a storage provider.
So far I have tried in many ways to grab the image, same as the frontend POST with tmp_name, so that I can finish the uploading process, but nothing works so far.
