I have a live website that was just upgraded to Magento 1.9.4.0. Since upgrading, the site has been slower, but most importantly the chat has stopped working. My site uses CometChat, so I need someone who has some experience with CometChat.

Essentially, every callback for receiving messages is failing with "Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED" in the console. CometChat support isn't the quickest to respond to tickets
