Asterisk PBX mobile advertising
Sample files from an Asterisk project that involved playing of advertisements to users. Users would register to the service via USSD then once in the system were called on schedule or as a callback service where the system would call back a user when they dialled a particular number. Through IVR the system listed the number of advertisements and let them listen to as many as they wanted to in the session. Finally, on completion of the call and based on number of ads listened to, airtime topups would be sent to the user. An early test system was built using a GSM dongle which was easily re-configured to the E1 SIP trunk when the provider set it up due to the flexibility of asterisk. The system was fully automated using Asterisk + agi-scripting using PHP and connected to a MySQL database with a web-based administration front-end.
