Eliminate duplicates from a dataset

We are creating a data set containing count of competitors within a 5 mile radius of the target business. For example: Business 1 - 20 competitors within 5 miles. We have approximately 900 locations that require a count of competitors within 5 miles. The data set has already been created. We have the target business and also list all of the competitors around that target business. However, because of the database we are using, the list of competitors around a business contains duplicates. So, the current count is inaccurate because of double counting of competitors. We need to have the duplicates around each target location eliminated so we can get an accurate count of competitors around target business locations. I would like this project completed by the end of the day thursday, Jan 14. The attached pivot table contains a subset of the data to give an example as to what the data set looks like. Columns J and L can be used to eliminate duplicates. For example, in the Raw Data sheet, if the ID in column J appears multiple times for the same target locations, duplicates can be eliminated so that competitor only appears once. However, because not all duplicates have the same ID assigned, column L needs to be reviewed. Column L contains addresses. If the same address appears multiple times, duplicates can be eliminated so the address only appears once. Note that sometimes the address is the same but is labeled differently. For example - 121 First Avenue is the same as 121 1st Avenue. That's why this needs to be done manually - because there are differences in address labels for locations that are duplicates.
The final output should be a pivot table listing all of the target locations along with a number of competitors. i would like a pivot table so the user can click the number to see the names/addresses of target locations if desired. The attached workbook contains three sample worksheets - raw data is an example of what the raw data set looks like. In the full data set, There are approximately 900 target locations and 20,000 potential competitor locations, including duplicates. the pivot table sheet is an example of what i'd like the final pivot table to look like - target business and number of competitors. john ridout competitors sheet shows an example of the data set that needs to be reviewed for each target location. For John Ridout, rows 13/14 are duplicates so one should be eliminated, rows 18/19 duplicates so one should be eliminated and rows 21/22 are duplicates so one should be eliminated. In some cases there could be more then one duplicate that needs to be eliminated. When eliminating duplicates, eliminate the dups that have TEMP in the ID in column J. If all the dups have TEMP, it doesn't matter which is eliminated.
