Pay-Per-Click Ad Network

We need to create our own pay-per-click ad network, similar to Google Adsense/Adwords but with simplified ad targetting that does not require the use of automated keyword targetting.

Some of the main components of this project will be:

**The Publisher interface portion of the website**, where website owners manage all aspects of their account, generate ad code, get earnings reports, etc. Ad formats should be flexible enough to allow plain text ads, image ads, and flash/javascript based ads.

**The Advertiser interface portion of the website**, where advertisers manage all aspects of their account, create and manage ad campaigns and individual ads, get click reports, etc. Advertisers must be able to target publishers based on category and/or by individual website.

**The Administrator interface portion of the website**, where site admins manage and monitor user accounts, generate usage reports, etc.

**The Ad Server Script**, which generates the javascript sent to the client in order to create ads on the publisher's web page.

All web-based portions of this project should be written in PHP using MySQL, PGSQL, Ingress, or any other appropriate open source DBMS. The entire system must be architected in such a way that it is possible to scale into a clustered configuration (one database server, many app servers), with at least one machine acting as a database server failover. Operating system may be any flavor of linux which is appropriate (CentOS, Ubuntu Server, etc).

This needs to be a complete functioning system with no glaring gaps in functionality, such that it supports the operation of a functional pay-per-click advertising business without the need for additional development effort. All accounting operations must be built in including invoicing and payment processing for advertisers and publishers.
