We have integrated an HEVC encoder (Vanguard) in a gstreamer plugin. On a hardware level we are using a Blackmagic decklink card (Intensity pro) which has v4l2 support. However, there appear to be frame drops between the deckling source and HEVC encoder. Secondly, the entire pipeline need some polishing.
