I'm a volunteer (retired IT guy) for a non-profit group that organizes a cross-country race every year in Eastern Canada (). We would like to improve our ability to track racers during the event, especially in remote sections that do not have any mobile coverage. I would like to develop a prototype for an Android-based application that could record a timestamp for each racer locally on the mobile device as they arrive at a given checkpoint (there's a total of 8 checkpoints across the 125km race). I managed to get the SQLite database created but Android Studio is just too much for me :-) See specs in the attached document. Thanks.
