Project- Script to crawl smartphone information and return in json format. About Myself- I am an engineer and work on algorithms and data structures. Purpose- To build a script which parse and return data in json format from 2 websites. This is one of the small parts of my project. Goals to achieve- 1)To Retrieve and return basic information which includes name of phone,4 to 5 specifications(camera,screen size,battery,RAM and ROM),ratings and price from GSMARENA site in json format. 2) To crawl information from FLIPKART mobile section after applying filters like price,brands,specifications and then return top 3 smartphone's data in json format. Deadline- Preffered within 3 days

I can write a script for you that crawls flipkart smartphone information and returns it in json format. In the past I've done this using beautifulsoup with python. I'll make sure to document the code and make sure it's written so that it can be easily understood and maintained. For example, here's how I would look for all divs on a website with the name "baseball" and write the output to a csv file: import urllib2 from bs4 import BeautifulSoup quote_page = ‘[login to view URL]:IND' page = [login to view URL](quote_page) soup = BeautifulSoup(page, ‘[login to view URL]’) baseball_divs = [login to view URL](‘div’, attrs={‘class’: ‘baseball’}) baseball = [login to view URL]() # strip() with open(‘[login to view URL]’, ‘a’) as csv_file: writer = [login to view URL](csv_file) [login to view URL]([baseball]) This is just a simple example to show I know how to do this. For your project, the script will return phone information with the ability to apply filters as well. I'd love to work on this for you.

I had implement before a scrapper for gsmarena, I can show you via teamviewer if you like. The data returned for the phone spec in json, but the phone name and it's model as csv.
