I am currently using a wordpress theme designed for travel agents. It provides additional blog post types for me to enter 'packages' that are displayed in a particular way on the website through the them. I am happy with how they are displayed, what I want is to modify the back end to make their creation a lot more streamlined. I am currently having to create tabs and the whole page for each package I post, I would like a template for that post type, with a custom entry page with particular fields so all i need to do is enter the right text in the right fields and the 'package' will populate into its format, ensuring consistency across the website, and speed of entry. I have a sample of the finished page i would like. fields included a package title, cost, high level itinerary, detailed itinerary, overview, scheduled dates, additional extras. would love to add more things like images or even just a link to a gallery, and also a map.

Hello My name is Eva, I have experience with wordpress. I worked with custom post types and custom fields, but before I could sneak a peak into the admin area, and more likely the source code of the particular "packages" part, it's somewhat difficult to form a proper idea on how they are put together. Usually it's not enough to just "change the way you manage it", it will change basically everything related to the packages. How they are stored, how they are displayed and so on. Another problem that can occur is the incompatibility of the new way with the old way and this means the already added products have to be modified to fit the new way. I strongly suggest to work with a development server on this one, except if the site is not yet launched. This way you would have the site up and running, until the new packages part is developed.
