I have a lot of experience with writing Python API's, you can see some examples of my work on my github but my most complex work is not public but I would be more than happy to show it to you over a Skype call. Here is a brief outline of the API I created for my app to give you an idea of my skill: Created an API for a social media platform for schools, areas, and groups in Python (Flask). Challenged to build an efficient RESTful JSON API that handles user authentication, media uploads, voting, geolocation data and a friend system. API contains over 24 endpoints. API was written with a “layered” architecture, requests and responses would be handled by the “REST” layers, any logic would be handled by the service layer and any database transactions handled in the repository layer. Codebase is well over 5k lines so I had to ensure it still remained readable as we add more features, the layered architecture allowed me to do this. I also developed a deep understanding of AWS infrastructure as our API was deployed onto AWS along with our database and landing page. In addition to creating, deploying and maintaining the API I also created the landing page which can be seen here: http://yourloop.co. And the documentation for the API which was created using Slate.
I am also proficient in Django and have recently converted the above API written in Flask to Django.
