Illustrate Something

We are an Australian company looking to revamp our brand. I'd like a character illustration of a cockatoo similar to "Nigel" from Rio and Rio2 - not exactly the same! This character needs to be able to show a lot of expression. Our idea for him is that he will be "naturally cool" - with sunglasses and a leather jacket. This is the first stage in our character development process and I'd like to get the look and feel of the character right before I proceed with animation. Please keep in mind we would like to use the artwork for both print and animation. I’m not sure how it works! The more detailed the character the more expensive the animation? The animation I’m thinking of would be for online purposes – possibly TVC. We would like a 10 second animation showing the cockatoo walking in extreme heat, sweating and head down, tail dragging. An air cooling unit then falls from the sky landing next to him with a thud and blasting him with cool air. He then spins around finishing in a dance pose with sunglasses and a leather jacket. We'd like our character to give advice to other birds down the track about our product. He will be the lead character with three other Australian bird friends. He needs to be likable and funny - not mean like "Nigel". The cockatoo is the first of many Australian birds we'd like drawn up. Please advise if you are interested and your charges.
