vb6 was one of my favorites. I created a bot net in my school computer lab using vb6 + winsock. Anyway this will be my first commercial use project (first freelancer job too) using vb6 (if i get the job). I don't think the details mentioned are sufficient to decide the scale of the project. (send data to the site and then what? is that part managed by you?) & thus to decide the bid value too. Anyway I'm willing to work for a lower bid because I need an approach to freelancing. (I'm an undergraduate student, and have participated(and won some) in many algorithm contests including the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2014.)

I worked from .NET Framework v1.1 to 4.6, from Visual Studio 2002 to VS 2015 (and Visual Studio 6 too), and from ASP to MVC6 About your project, I can write a component/class/module vb6 that expose methods to: - connect/disconnect to a website (or any remote host) using winsock - send / receive data with flow control and manage errors. - Sample code for you to know how to use the component. Then you can add the component into your vb6 software and use it to send a receive data whenever you want. If you need, I can too help you to deploy it in your system and your website.
