In short, you will be responsible for the following tasks: - Identifying relevant news items - Posting relevant news items on the blog - Alerting team members when a news item affects their work Relevant news items are found by checking through emails and websites that often contain both items that are relevant and those that are not. You are responsible for recognizing which items are relevant to maritime container shipping. If you are not already familiar with the industry, assistance will be provided in the beginning on what you should look for. Posting items on the blog consists of copying or rewording the items, assigning them appropriate keywords and images in WordPress, and scheduling them to be posted at intervals throughout the day. Lastly, when a news item relates to a change in port, terminal, service, or company we track, the team must be alerted of this by posting a link to the news item in our team’s collaboration platform.
