Android App (WiFi, Sensors, Client-Server)

[login to view URL] App We have an existing server side infrastructure including data-base and -structure. The new Android based app should allow the user to measure the wifi signal strength for one (or also multiple) locations: - the user authenticates against the server side webservice - get his configuration, options and a list of all his existing locations - show a list of all locations optionally sorted to (server side) defined and provided categories - the user can always add a new location or select an existing one - each location can have one or multiple layers (floor 1, 2, outdoor, ...) - for each layer can (must) be uploaded a map (png/jpg image) - when selecting a layer it shows his details (name, map, description) and a list of measurements - the user can add a new measurement session by showing the floor map (only after he has loaded a map) - the user can zoom and drag the map behind a fixed central crosshair to define the exact position - a +button starts measurement of wifi signal strengths of all SSIDs (SSID, channel, dbm, ...) and places a small colored dot on the map - the user can drag the map to a new positions for additional measurements - The user can undo the last few measurement points - the crosshair positions are measured in pixels (x/y) of the floor map image - all collected data will be stored locally with a dateTimeStamp, when the measurement session is closed. - The app now tries to connect to the server in order to upload this new session dataset including the users id, the unique device ID and a model name (for example Samsung Galaxy S4) - if no internet connection is available it will keep this and additional datasets for other floors stored locally until he can reach the server. - optionally the user can make photos and place them on certain positions on the floor map - optionally the user can place an object (accesspoint) on certain positions on the floor map. in this case the user can select an BSSID (SSID+MAC) from a list of all available SSIDs sorted by signal strength. I have ready a more detailed plan about relations, design, elements and functionality of the activities for this app. The app should have a simple, intuitive and professional (material) look and design. All further data processing is done server side
