Answer the following (2) questions: Please summarize Paul Burnstein’s main theoretical (i.e. causal) argument, in his book, “American Public Opinion, Advocacy, and Policy in Congress.” What data does he utilize to demonstrate the utility of his argument? Be specific. What conclusions does he draw? Now build on Bernstein study and propose a design for own investigation of specifically the environmental movement and its successes in winning legislative policy changes in the US in the 1970s. How will you study this movement to understand how it succeeded in winning changes in the laws?
