After working on large-scale construction implementations in the field of HVAC for 15 years, I decided to specialize in Building Information Modeling, received my BIM PROFESSIONAL and BIM MANAGER certificates from Middle East Technical University, and have been providing BIM-based design services for about 8 months. I can do a comprehensive 3D BIM based MEP design of a building in accordance with international codes by taking into consideration clashes within and between disciplines. My implementation experience will be very useful for modeling. Even though architectural plans are CAD-based, I can 3D model the architecture and create an energy analytical model of a building using Autodesk Revit. By analyzing the energy analytical model based on external weather conditions depending on the location of the building, I can perform heating and cooling load calculations. Revit 2024 uses the EnergyPlus simulation engine, whose development is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Building Technologies Office (BTO). Along with OpenStudio, EnergyPlus is part of BTO’s building energy modeling program portfolio. I can also perform ventilation, duct, and pipe sizing calculations or define existing values in Revit.  I can create the necessary Revit family files as well. I can export 2D or 3D CAD files as well.
