We are seeking a skilled freelancer to collect, structure, and analyze historical data from space missions. The goal is to build a comprehensive dataset that can be used to evaluate past mission trajectories, orbital maneuvers, burn times, and other relevant parameters. This dataset will not only help identify potential areas of improvement for past missions but also aid in developing sophisticated software for future space mission planning. This software will leverage machine learning to predict and optimize mission outcomes. Task Objectives: 0. Data sourcing. Find sources. Sources of this data could include NASA, ESA, Roscosmos, and other space agencies' official databases, academic journals, and verified public datasets. Create summary Excel table with link to source, info how to get data, data examples, pricing, etc. 1. Data Collection: Gather detailed data on past space missions, focusing on trajectory, time of burns, orbital maneuvers, velocity and acceleration, fuel usage, mass, payload details, etc. 2. Data Structuring: Organize the collected data into a structured format suitable for machine learning applications. This includes creating standardized data fields such as mission name, launch date, spacecraft type, trajectory details, maneuver sequences, and outcomes. 3. Preliminary Analysis: Conduct a basic analysis to identify any glaring inconsistencies or outliers in the data that might affect later stages of machine learning modeling. Deliverables: A comprehensive database of historical space mission data in a machine-readable format (e.g., CSV, SQL database). This project does not include the development of machine learning models; the focus is strictly on the groundwork of data preparation.
