RF mesh, embedded development - investigation

We need somebody that has experience with RF mesh stacks . We want to investigate and compare two RF mest stacks (WI-SUN and Thread) and some open soure implementations of them, and then possibly port them to some hardware that we use. In investigation phase we would check details for addressing and routing details, scalability, and possibility to upgrade software "over the air". Next, we can check what resources required by each stack, what compatibility with MCUs like EFR32FG12, and EFR32MG12, and maybe others. But first, we need to compare (in details) opportunities provided by each open-source stack. If they will not look OK, we will compare commercial stack solutions. The freelancer must be experienced in the above and as mentioned the first step would be investigation.
