My VBA development examples: • Macro that connects to a PCOMM application and sends commands automating invoice creation. • Macro that connects to a DB2 database retrieves customer data, fills a word template and saves the word file to a common drive. • Macros that retrieve information from the text of webpages using string patterns or HTML element identifiers. • Application that downloads stock prices from Yahoo Finance for the user provided ticker (GOOGL, AAPL, IBM...) and dates. • Application that downloads return value of benchmark indexes from index providers' websites (S&P, Citi, NCRIEF). • Excel UserForm that can be used to execute insert or update statements in a database directly from a spreadsheet so that the user doesn't need to write SQL statements. • Application that connects to an ftp server every night, downloads a CSV file and compares its content with an SQLServer database, executes update and inserts statements based on the differences found, then it sends a mail from Outlook informing the recipients about the number of changes.
