1. I feel that you want to parallelize your FORTRAN code in windows platform. Although it is better to do it under Linux system (like WSL which can get along with windows system), it is also ok to do this under windows platform. However, the auto parallelism function for ifort library (which may use OPENMP, a multi-thread method) only works for simple loops without dependences. 2. A better way may be using MPI+OPENMP(or Pthreads) under Linux or windows (with intelOneAPI installed) 3. A best way may be using GPU CUDA Fortran + MPI, which may be your future plan.
