Seeking someone with significant experience with Google Apps Script
A given Organizing Volunteers Google Sheet includes:
first_name
last_name
email
sheet_url (to be filled in)
mentor, and a few other fields
A second sheet is a master sheet "My Voting Friends" to be replicated for each volunteer found in the sheet above.
Add to the Organizing Volunteers Sheet:
a [Generate Sheet] button in the Master Volunteers sheet row sheet_url cell that copies a different "My Voting Volunteers" sheet, places it in a specific subdirectory, renames it to include the first name in that row (like "Margie's Volunteers") , replaces the [Generate Sheet ] button with the new URL of the sheet. Set the Status field to "Not Yet Shared"
a [Share] button that reads the email field, shares the sheet that's listed in the sheet_url field (granting Edit permissions, filling the Message field with content, and pressing Send). Back in the Organizing Volunteers sheet, change the Status field to "Shared", and copy the url into the clipboard for copying during Zoom calls. Delete the [Share] button. (Perhaps this step involves two different tabs. The Organizing Volunteers sheet, and the My Voting Friends sheet.)
A [Copy URL] button just copies that row's URL.
Hi, I have gone through the requirements and know how to move / cope sheets, rename them, share / unshare them using Google Apps Script. I have written many such macros before. I can provide samples if needed. You can even see the reviews of the same in my profile.
