SANGRE NEGRA SYNOPSIS Is the continuing saga of the wealthy and powerful Hispanic family, Santos. Headed by their patriarch Guillermo Santos Sr. (Eric Estrada) and his glamorous but vindictive wife Laura (Sandra Santiago) The Santos Family includes the eldest son Guillermo Santos Jr. ( Ricardo Herranz) a slick defense attorney who disappointed his family when he switched from the States Attorney Office to become a criminal defense attorney . Exasperating the situation, Guillermo Jr. marries and subsequently divorces his American born Caucasian wife Rebecca Lane ( Gabrielle Tuitte). Ricardo “Pretty Ricky” Santos (Antonio Mckay)is the half Black, half Hispanic illegitimate son of Guillermo Sr. Ricky is a rising star in the world of organized crime. Christian Santos (Danny Arroyo) the youngest son of Guillermo Sr. and Laura Santos a dedicated Police detective, determined to rid the city of organized crime even if it means bringing down his brother Ricky in the process. Complicating the situation is the fact that Christian is engaged to Francesca Natal ( Arianna Gomez) a former beauty queen who is also the mother of Ricky’s six year old daughter Natalya ( Francesca Hernandez). Finally there is Miguel Santos ( Andres Angel Garet) the twenty three year old student who is seduced by the life of organized crime and the charisma of his Uncle Ricky. “Sangre Negra is a night time drama that combines the family dynamic of Dallas with the underworld intrigue of “The Sopranos “and “The Godfather” with the difference being that it’s told from a wealthy Latin family’s point of view. “Sangre Negra“ is smart, sexy and exciting television and includes notable guest stars such as Eric Roberts, Robert Davi, Nadine Velasquez, Bail Ling and Esai Morales among others.
