185929 WordPress MU create plugin

We are currently creating a free blogging service, powered by WordPress MU. We wish to provide a unique experience that is custom, easy, well integrated and organized. Unfortunately, WPMU lacks the level of ease and organization we are looking for. We require someone that is very familiar with WordPress code, specially Wordpress MU, to: - Create a new multimedia plugin We have four multimedia plugins that we like: - Embedded Video - 1pixelout Audio Player - Anarchy First problem is, the way anarchy and audio player inserts code is, well, not easy. Users have to directly type code into the post. Embedded Video however has a nice popup menu to easily insert such code. Second, all of them play formats that others play. For example, both anarchy and embedded video plays MP3 files, but we like the flash animation used by audio player. So, the embedded video popup should insert the code for audio player when the user chooses to insert code for an MP3 file, instead of inserting code into the post for embedded video. And so on. So basically, merge the best of all of them into the popup menu of embedded video. This is easier for new users to insert, for example, youtube videos, than figuring out which of the three plugins to use. This might just be a thing of going through embedded video's code, and replacing code where it inserts information into a post for the code of the other plugin. You will be provided with access to a test installation of WordPress MU to work on these issues. We have many other projects related to WPMU modifications. If you do a good and quick job, you will get more projects from us. Again, the person working on these projects must be a long time PHP programmer as security, and efficiency, are of the utmost importance. Bid only if you already have experience creating/modifying WordPress plugins and are very familiar with WordPress' plugin code.
