LISP or VBA routine drawing 3D tunnels I am in the undergound mining business I need a routine that will make underground tunnels and ramps. Attached are dxf files of what I need. In most case when we draw tunnels we have the orebody present and we have to draw tunnels around or into that orebody. So you will see in the drawings an orebody and tunnels draw around or into that orebody. The routine needs to draw a 3d tunnel (drift) and follows a selected or entered (start elevation/end elevation or % grade) path. This would include straight paths and twisting paths that simulates an underground ramp. I am doing this already with by drawing a 3dface and extrude along a path with the TABSURF command. Its very time consuming. The straight parts of the tunnels are fairly straight forward, basically extruding along a straight path hoever, The ramp or "corkscrew" part of the drawing is also a problem because I have to deal with "twist" in the corkscrew cross-section. In normal cases with a ramp my parameters that I deal with are a start elevation and end elevation or I have a % grade. Could be either LISP or VBA ideally VBA would be best. Some additional tasks that would be associated is... Will make a specific 3dface shape and extract along that line when given the either, % grade, start/end elevation or selected point. Be able to take section through any plane and profile that data A selection to convert all to solid. Total Linear feet Total Volume.
