Com/serial port interfacing in PHP - repost

Dear sir, I'm an engineering student. I have good knowledge about electronic and programming. The project is not a challenge for me with what I have done. These are my projects in my university. 1. Small CNC machine. (Serial port , Java, C,microcontroller, Gcode) 2. Food container making machine. (microcontrller) 3. Tea factory managing system. (php, mysql ) These are my own project *Led naming board with gps technology *Automated reload machine (for mobile phone reloading) I think this is a easy project for me. I can do it for about 570$. It's one of the easiest tasks I have done multiple times before. I'll make a small utility that store the serial readings in the database. It will work on windows and Linux. Anyway, I like to explain the approach I use in similar development and why. Usually, the serial comunication may be master/slave or receive asyncronously, also it may be slow. So, I solve this with a service or background process that communicate with machine and update all data in the database. In this case, the php read the data from database althougth can be through files or shared memory, ... If your php code does the communication when the browser calls it, the serial communication may delay its reponse. My offer is based in a backgound process in linux developed with C or C++, and a service in C++ o C#. Those processes communicate with the machine and update the mysql database. Your php code does sql querys to show the data in the browser, and I can does some templates. You can contact with me if I you have some question about my offer. Regards.

Hi sir, if you want to receive a message from COM Port and store the value in mysql at any time, you need a background process to monitor COM Port, data analyser and store data structured in to mysql. The background process can develop using NodeJS, Php, Python or any programming language. You need to start monitor process immediately and make sure to know correctly COM Port name.
