After trying to update apache through WHM, the update failed. Apache now does not start up even with a reboot. The message I got after the update, was: " Apache restart failed. Unable to load pid from pid file and no httpd process found in process list. If apache restart reported success but it failed soon after, it may be caused by oddities with mod_ssl. You should run /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/ssl_crt_status as part of your troubleshooting process. Pass it --help for more details. Also be sure to examine apache's various log files. Apache Restart Output: Log:(edited) [Thu Apr 03 00:24:16 2014] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down" I need an urgent "repair" for apache on this server and possibly some other fixes for this server. This is my server details: CENTOS 5.10 x86_64 standard – web WHM 11.38.2 (build 23) It is a dedicated server and I have ssh access. I'm going to need you to keep me very well informed about what you are doing on the server.

Hi , I can take a look at this ( preferably over the weekend) Did you change any SSL certificates? Are some jks / keystore files are lost during upgrade? Possibly the upgrade would have overwritten those? First we should try starting Apache directly without WHM. Once we solve that, then we can use WHM wrapper scripts to make it work. I have worked on Apache and Apache tomcat quite a bit, so I can give it a try. BR, Dipsilon Solutions
