Python Item-Management Web-Application

We have a web-application project written in Python which uses Django and SQL-Alchemy (against a PostgreSQL DB). We are in need for additional coders to take function-based assignments to meet customer-needs. To receive contracts for this the coder needs to understand how Django works (and doesn't work), how SQLAlchemy works, and how our web-application uses SQL-Alchemy models, meta-data for "Catalogs", and Django to present the Web-GUI. The code is in an SVN repository, where we differ between the code base and the "Rig" code. You will at first work on rig-code, and as you become familiar with the web-application setup, you might get contracts to merge Rig functionality into the main trunk. This first contract is for writing a simple emailer with attachements. The email-form will need to be able to receive attachements, and a subject / message. The message will then be preprocessed for merging variables from the DB (suite16 sqlalchemy-models), and syncronically sent to ricipients via SMTP. The output of the action is a simple list of SMTP responses. The actual function is very straight forward and simple, but requires understanding of Django and our web-application models. The payment includes time to familiarize with our Suite16 application, but assumes good understanding of Python programming, the Django library, and the SQLAlchemy library. ## Deliverables Using Rent a coder is a test for Copyleft Solutions, an international collection of companies dedicated to development of Free Software defined by the Free Software Foundation. The initial work will be simple and straight forward for a seasoned programmer that masters python, Django and SQLAlchemy. For this function we assume a workload of 5-15 hours, dependant on how much you have to read up on Django and our model. The application you work on will be released under the GPL and will be available for all to use in commercial ventures, also in competition with our own.
