Digital photo/video frame on raspberry pi with front- and back-end using GoogleDrive as Source

Greetings, I am a very experienced C/C++/node.js architect and developer with a strong communications, systems and hardware background. Sorry, Chrome browser will not act a webserver. Instead, I would implement this with node.js + webkit (chrome engine), which also will drive the backend admin panel with a small webapp. node.js App will be run on startup via init script and enter fullscreen and start displaying. It will poll data sources and update. All is programmed in JS and easy to maintain. I have Raspberry Pi B+ and wifi HW on hand for testing. I can produce a customized raspian (debian) image for additional 100Euro. Deliverables: * Source code * Linux support tools and bash scripts (for use on any Linux distribution with bash installed) * README with build, install and setup instructions Test: 2 weeks after start. Hello, I have a good background coding for Raspberry Pi. I own an RPI model B+ with 512MB RAM with the latest Raspbian image installed. Judging by the attached schema you want a system that will play videos and show images taken from Google Drive or DropBox. From my experience HTML5 performance is really poor on RPI, I did some tests a couple of months ago and best I could get was around 25-30 FPS for a simple 2D game. A better approach would be to use a system written in C++/OpenGL ES 2 that uses the GPU for all the graphic processing. I did this for a client for images played in a loop fullscreen on the RPI. This approach can run really fast. About movies, well it is possible to run movies on the RPI for sure, but I don't think the CPU or GPU can support real time movie resizing. I can investigate this of course and search for an optimal solution for RPI. I will choose to work with C++ and Qt for software optimizations given the pi resources. There will be a desktop(R pi) application running on Raspberry Pi, and if our collaboration will be successful, I will propose a mobile app(if it makes sense for you) for remote administration (dropbox/drive resync, change intervals...etc). I have about 4 years of commercial experience in C++ with Qt and boost libraries. I also had projects as freelancer on other freelancing platforms.
