Program to interface between SQLServer and Access 2000 databases.? No user interface required, but application must log? actions as they occur (in text file).? Actions to be controlled by entries in XML configuration file.? Actions will be:
1.? Open SQL database (using connect string in config file).
2.? Process actions (defined in? config file)
Actions:
a.? Execute SQL command (defined in? config file), which will load data from SQL to Access database (defined in config file), table will always be? identical name.
b.? Execute SQL stored procedure by name (defined in? config file), passing parameters if required (defined in? config file).
c.? Execute external program (defined in? config file), passing parameters if required (defined in? config file).
Application will loop through all actions for all? defined locations,? per config file.
All locations need the same set of actions run, so the code goes to folder1 and action1. ?
If Action is "UseMDB", then execute the SQL in "SQLString" on the SQL Server. ? This SQL will populate a table called SFTable (same name in all Access databases). ? Or it may do something else to the Access or SQL data. ? There could be multiple SQL statements to run, in order.
If Action is "CallSP", code calls SP in the SQL database.
etc.
After all actions are processed, go to next location in list, until all locations have been processed.
