Fix plugin filter selection - Experience people only

Hi - looks like you need the following to be fixed: 1) The current plugin filters the 'active date' range but should filter 'from date' instead. 2) Plugin needs to work only when its activated :) 3) Remove the "1" from the front page. On the surface, the above does not seem to be a time taking task. Happy to help you with it. About me, I have about 11 years of software engineering experience (with 6+ years in IBM Research).
