Hello for embedded system I have already done project like yours (see portfolio Thermal control system). I use Cortex-M3 core for control 5 DC motors. I can offer you a light version But also I can offer you much cheaper solution based on OP AMPs for $60 (circuit + PCB)

Hi. Very interesting your project . I congratulate you for the initiative. I note that you want to measure the "error" between the measured signal and the setpoint. One way to design this project could be a microprocessor with ADC input and PWM output and then use an RC filter with an operational amplifier for an output voltage according to the measured "error" . I would like to know how the setpoint is adjusted? or this will be a fixed value ? . Thank you. Pardo Darwin

I have Master & Bachelor degree of Electrical Engineer; I have over 8 year experience of control system design, micro-controller programming, hardware design, PCB layout(I have relationship of manufacturing PCB in China, cheap and fast); High proficiency in project design and management, high proficiency in micro-controller programming(Freescale, AVR, Arduino); 2 year experience of mechanical design(pro/engineer); According to your description for this project, here is my sample design for it; 1)choose a microcontroller as controller(any 8-bit micorcontroller is enough for this project, for example Freescale mc908gp32, Atmega family: Atmega1284 or atmega tiny, or 8051); 2)for temperature sensor, there are hundreds of type, easiest way to choose a analog output one ,design a filter or an adjust circuit for the output and connect it to micro-controller's analog input; 3)for the output, since you need the analog output, so we need DA converter; 4) if your want to design it as a product, you probably need a cover for the board, it's easy to design using pre/engineer; 5)and also we can add a small display to display temperature if you need;

i can make it around Renesas MCU which has ADC and DAC, need to get info what is min and max temp, what kind of sensor and look up table?
