I need a program that is able to take files of the blizzard .mdx (and supporting file types, .blp, etc.) file format and convert/export said files to the .babylon file format. The .babylon file format is defined here: [login to view URL] A good start to this is perhaps the work done here in this repo: [login to view URL] The code in that repository uses javascript to ingest and parse the necessary file formats to render them in the browser via webGL. This is the end result that I am aiming for, but I want to use the babylon game engine for rendering, and so I need a compatible file format. I need the exported files to include their respective animations as well in order for it to be considered a complete export. I would prefer a program written in one of the following languages - Javascript, Python, Ruby, or Golang - in that order. I am open however to other languages as long as the program can reasonably be run on a Linux, Mac or Windows OS. I plan on extending this code in the future, so comments and documentation would be nice.
